Apple always felt more sluggish to me than a linux book.

I feel most fanbois just try to justify buying overpriced hardware. before it was the stunning display. Now its the M1.

Heres a comparison of AMD vs intel mobile processors using the same laptop .

This is an year old video and AMD already released the next gen lineup recently .

Intel 10 nm architecture is also coming out soon that is delivering promising performance in tests

I honestly wished M1 blows up on Apple's face, with all the claims made.

looks like that isn't gonna happen

now we'll be subjected to M2, M3 and the series. lol.

someone should make an open standards processor with the caption - Faster than M1, you can run it in your toaster.

I'm not interested in x86 processors anyway.

but find M1 claims a little too bombastic. They make it sound like M1 is better than desktop processors that can run on a variety of platforms. but their comparison is based on i7 that's running on their platform.

anyway if mac users are happy. who am I complain. I'm never buying a mac.

Apple M1 Chip was the biggest disappointment of the year 2020 for me. that Apple made it and marketed it so well broke my heart.

For a moment, I wanted to hate Apple more than I hate Tesla. but then sanity prevailed. back to hating Tesla.

I'm more interested in RiscV processors now. x86, no.

Apple winning the arm chip race is actually bad for ARM.

now ARM firmware standards will be bent to suit the apple ecosystem. and once RiscV takes off, Apple may buy off ARM and stop selling microarchitectures to 3rd parties. Fcuk up the entire ecosystem

fcuk Apple.

How can you compete with something like this?

I should kill myself right now, so won't be bludgeoned to death in the future by a creepy Tesla bot as part of Musk's marketing gimmick.

@Ryzen_renoir is it as good as Apple advertised?

or were they pulling a fast one on fanbois and general public?

I have a M1 desktop, so far didn’t run into any issues from running development ide or any software. It is fast but with no noise or heat
