Entirely parents fault. The driver should have stopped. Hit and run is a crime. If he stopped, it would have been just a manslaughter. Now it’s a crime!

people don’t learn a thing even after living in this country for years. If they bought a house, they must be in the US for years. What did they learn for years? If they had the kid for 2 years, what did they learn in 2 years?? If you have kids, your kids should be ALWAYS be in your vision!! Period. If a kid dies for any reason, they will arrest the entire family.

many Indian kids are hyper and the kid was prolly excited with the new place (happens with all kids) and wandered out to explore more. Why in the hell did they leave the door open and why were they not monitoring their kid knowing that there was a high speed street???? The kid would have died even if there was a small lake outside and the parents would not have monitored the kid anyway. It’s not India where kids jump into the GALLI and play with other kids. This is stupidity and unwillingness to learn the systems and adapt them.

Uri shiksha veyalsindhe amma ayya ki

Ippatiki oka million times anukuni untaru how could we let this happen ani. Infact we can’t even imagine the mental state of parents who lost their kid that too when they could possibly avoid it with little more attention. We don’t even know how they are going to live with this. It’s something unfortunate that has happened and that is not because of anyones stupidity.

Of course it is ENTIRELY the stupidity of the parents alone! When they have kids they need to learn how to raise them and monitor them even before conceiving babies. This is not India. Just because they are grieving or they are in a miserable mental state or they are Indians or they were busy with their house-warming preparations - or anything else for that matter - has NOTHING to do with how stupid they were to let a (probably hyperactive) 2 year old toddler out on the loose - at 11 PM - when there is a busy street right outside with speeding vehicles!!!! With these kind of illiterate parents, that kid was just an accident waiting to happen - now or in the future. It’s even a feat that he survived for 2 years with inattentive and irresponsible parents. Maybe he already got hurt several times in his 2 years of life on this earth. You don’t know it. Stop blaming the construction, road, speeding traffic, driver, blah…

KIDS first, then comes house warming. Period.

Not a little more attention - FULL ATTENTION. Period.

It’s not unfortunate - it’s STUPID. Period.

Very Unfortunate incident but the Parents are extremely Stupid and ignorant ppl….

Dont blame fate for stupidity, here some parents forget their infants in the backseat and die due to heat…this is no different than that incidents..

in both cases parents should be arrested

I can’t even imagine how much pain the kid would have felt. 11 ki kid padukobettakunda em peekutunnaru? Oka bedtime routine undada? Aa time ki padukune alavatu undi unte he would have slept. Indisciplined kids kante dangerous indisciplined parents.

Driver might have thought he might have hit a dog or cat

That is correct bro , I know a case where a cyclist was hit and killed and driver left the scene and  when caught he was not guilty since he thought he might have hit a deer. Its complete understandable.

"IF THAT KID HAVE A PARENT TO TAKE CARE AT 11PM THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPNED"

I know kids slip out of home that is the fu3king reason they need attention. KID need justice

It is what it is.

if you think all these negative criticizing comments are posted so those grieving parents will visit afdb and read them, you are mistaken. These comments are meant for all other parents to exercise caution with their kids and understand the consequences of stupidity and illiteracy even before they happen so they can be prevented from happening. If you are siding with them (even for the sake of sympathy) saying it is an “unfortunate” incident, you are sending out wrong message to all others.

They will be branded as irresponsible and illiterate parents forever in US and India because they let their 2 year old toddler wander out at 11 PM into a busy street and die.

It is not unfortunate - it is just STUPID. ask anyone and they will say the same.

It is difficult to spot small kids on the road., it will usually feel like a small animal even if they hit

Don’t even suspect there will be much damage to the car

It is unfortunate but even a split second of distraction with small kids is enough

This is unfortunate incident can’t blame parents or the guy who hit him
