The solution for Dalit problem has to come from Hinduism itself. Best thing is to ask more representation more rights in a peaceful and convincing manner. But what I see often is blatantly abusing Hindu Gods, upper castes and alleged ladder structure of Chaturvarna system. Sometimes allegations could be related  but they do not serve the purpose of Dalit upbringing..only in western way of living.. They in fact divide the Hindu society. Who will be the loser man it's going to be Dalits neither they are in a position to change the electoral outcome nor have control over businesses and political power. So best thing is to ask more more rights in a convincing.

The other option you have been trying to propagate is joining hands with moslems, lets assume for a sec. moslems will help Dalits when they are in power. Do you really think BC/OBC and Hindu OC will just keep quiet when something similar happens?

I admit muslim dalit coalition was a terrible idea.

but dalits have no future under the current structure. when every conversation keeps going back to reservations based on economic criteria. It is simply not workable to work within the Hindu system and get justice.

Only one of two things can help dalits.

1. High growth like China, mostly industrial, where they will be hired in huge numbers for their skill (which they have, inspite of what assholes here say).

2. increase scope of reservation to private sector and implement quotas strictly for a specific time frame, say 30yrs. This will affect India's growth, but bring parity. i.e. make everyone equally poor.

There's simply no option of patiently asking upper caste Hindus for their rights. They won't get it if they ask. They either break the system, and create enough nuisance so the people in power can throw them a bone or two (political) when the time is right.

abusing Hindu gods is fair game, man. It is political.

If they won't do even that, after all the ignominy they suffered for generations, then they are probably not even human.

There's no such thing as western way of living and Indian way, for a political being.

political crusaders will use even Martian ideologies, if they can disturb people in power. western ideologies are not that far off from lived experience as an Indian.

Okay, well I agree it is foolish to consider economic based reservations unless we treat everyone equal and give them fair chances to education and employment.

But things have been changes over the past century right, we almost get rid of untouchibility and the lower sections presence is almost seen everywhere. Every govt. scheme has extra advantages to Dalits and BCs... Things will change man gradually these have to be done in a more consolidated way.

IDK if make in india may help in future ..second option is almost impossible to to implement

only on paper. dalits can't succeed in business.. they can, but million times harder for them to, than for an upper middle class guy. they can't succeed even if govt gives them priority loans at low interest rates.

The only schemes that helps them are things like what TN govt did.

1. feed them

2. give them milch cows and calves to rear and make money off milk.

only such targeted schemes give advantages to them. It'll take a longgg time for dalits to catch up to the rest. Atleast the govt should work fast on easing setting up of manufacturing businesses, break caste strangleholds in banking, decrease interest rates, and bring a manufacturing revolution.

BJP promised to do this. instead we got demonetization.

Anyways thats my takeaway ...you need to see the complexities and duality that a guy has to go through to balance both religion/culture and the societal problems. One is internal and other is external.
