Penchadam emundi man... give them opportunity to explore life... adi nerchuko idi nerchuko ani sava 10gakunda... basic education ichi... disciplined life alavatu cheyyali... dont do comparisons... your duty as a parent should be to provide them good ethics (what society feels its good), decent education, disciplined life style... inthakantey em ivvalsina pani ledu.. make it clear that they are going to be on their own as soon as they are 18 or 16 plus...

as a parent dont get too attached/ dependent on your kid... its selfish...

lot of Indian parents do this coz they feel children helps them in their old age... 99% wont even care about their parents after they are on their own...

enno sacrifices / compromises ayyi parents penchithene 99% of the 1970 plus born batch dont even have time to take care of parents... some even fighthing with parents for extra money/property share.. Inka US lo perigina poragallaithe @aathcare

adhey kadha kastam antunnaru ikkada

life ni explore cheyyatam antey?

parents are not losers. They are just busy with their life. do you think highly successful parents won't pressure their kids to do well at school? There's nothing wrong with pressuring kids.

'exploring life' can be done when the kids get out of home.

good ethics antava.. impossible to teach that, when you consider society as standard for ethics. confusion lo untaadu kid. appudu nuvvu, ethics ni ruddadam kooda pressuring aey.

Best thing to do to a kid is teach them as many skills as possible. Not leave them to 'explore life'.

I don't think you understand what ethics are. what you are saying is civil manners.

already cheppam. that parents do this because they are anxious. Not because they are losers.

parenting is an incredibly hard job. edho basic education ippinchi. allow them to explore life is a very bad idea anedhi chepthunna.

there is a fine line between both...

No. They are not even related.

ethics, morals are something a person develops for himself. parents teaching their personal ethics to the kids is putting pressure on them to conform.

civil manners are something kids kids pick up in interaction with society and something the parents can teach.
