India lo undadaniki invest cheyadam waste man, quality of life is going to be low no matter where you live in India due to pollution, population and poor infrastructure etc. If you are looking to make quick money off your investments, it might work although it's a risky proposition. 

But to live personally, there are way better options than India even among middle income nations.
