Working for free doesn't motivate people. Motivation is important for anyone to get going.

Many retired people, by the virtue of their experience go to top level if not bosses. They should be hired as consultants to train younger generation. their experience is priceless!

Well, something should be a yardstick for merit. For Asians, entrance exams are the yardsticks. But I totally agree with you standardized test merit is BS

I meant become work free.. as in automate your tasks, so you are free to do other stuff.
