Kerala health minister issues guidelines for dead body management of COVID-19 victims

Kerala health minister KK Shalaja urged people not to organise large funerals for patients who succumb to COVID-19. She said the virus will spread from the body to all those who may come in contact with it without proper gear and protection. The Union Health Ministry has also issued several guidelines on handling bodies of those who succumb to the virus, including use of personal protective equipment (e.g., water resistant apron, gloves, masks, eyewear)

India to help Nepal setup COVID-19 screening, quarantine centres 

A combined team of Indian Army, navy and airforce doctors and paramedic staff will go to Nepal to help set up COVID-19 quarantine camps and testing centers. The decision was taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Virtual SAARC Summit that called for regional cooperation, News18 reported.

Five new cases reported from Noida 

Five new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Gautam Budh Nagar on Saturday, district officials said. With this, the total number of cases in the district has reached 23. One case each were reported in Noida Sector 44, Sector 37, Sector 128, and Sector 2 in Mehak Residency of Acheja Village . All areas have been ordered to seal till 30 March.

25-yr-old Chennai man tests positive for Coronavirus

A 25-year-old Chennai man has tested positive for Coronavirus, taking the state's tally up to 41, including six foreign nationals. The man had no international travel history, but had been to Delhi in the past few days. Earlier toady, two other cases were also reported from the state: The first person was a 49-year-old man who had travelled from the West Indies while another was a 49-year-old man who had returned from the United Kingdom.

23-year-old tests positive in Andhra Pradesh, tally at 14

A 23-year-old man, from Rajasthan residing in Nossam village of Sanjamala mandal in Andhra Pradesh, has tested positive for Covid-19. He has been under a stable condition at GGH Kurnool where he's being treated.

Maharashtra government has started Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fight Covid-19. The government has requested contribution of people in this fund.

There have been NGOs, corporate and individuals who wanted to give financial help in fight against Covid-19. Hence, this fund has been started.

With 194 new cases in past 24 hrs, India's tally crosses 900

The number of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, cases crossed 900 in India with the death toll rising to 19, according to the Union Health Ministry. According to the data, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the country stood at 775, while 78 people were either cured or discharged and one had migrated.

Maharashtra COVID-19 cases cross 180

The total number of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra has risen to 181, after 28 new patients tested positive today. The Maharashtra government has said that till now, a total of 26 patients have recovered/discharged, reported ANI.
