Same here. I used to sit too till i was in India sleep on floor.  Ginnalu tinnavi borlinchi bathrooms lo buckets borlinchi its so hard in india. Ikkada i live alone so i have no option but when my parents come i sitaside and sleep on floor in US also. Sree chakram undi abhishekalu chestam ani munde cheptundi ma amma . Kuchunte vasta na ishtam kuchonu ante nenu ralenu nenu avanni e age lo bharinchalenu kalupukunte ani.  These are not outdated. They came for hygiene and cleanliness but inka mooda nammakalu laga follow avutunnaru includinf in my home.

Yeah, feel for you. I had to go through that at my relatives place who were more orthodox than my parents, I felt very humiliating.

It is very humiliating especially during teens. Intlo functions or pellillu unte andari mundu muttukoku muttukoku ani arupulu koncham kuda alochincharu same age cousins mundu enta awkward ga untundi ? Ippudu adi natural anukuntam because of age. When i was 13/14 i used to cry.

They go to work but at home no work, they have seperate bed and they won’t get into puja room and kitchen. Complete rest no house chores
