When did you realize that caste groups existed?

always aware of caste groups existence ... but it seemed it was only with previous generations.

most classmates had liberal  thoughts  in school and in inter.

College lo friends slightly turned towards caste groups but didn't hurt other caste.

after joining job not only they started doing circle jerk.. but started bad mouthing other castes.

in last 10 years I realized our parents generation was more liberal than current generation.

AFDB showed your school friends, college friends ,colleagues ,acquaintances hate you if you are from other caste. even though they are nice to you in person.

giving more reasons to neutral people stick with same caste. this is a cycle !!

It doesn't matter if you care or don't.Its the truth.

declaring that you are beyond caste is an asshole thing to do. it means you like to poke your nose into things that you don't even know about. Being proud of being an ignorant arrogant hack is just laughable.

Aren't u the one who said that? U just presented my psychological analysis with random baseless assumptions. I dont want to dissect this further because it is just a mean comment and that's that.  I am scared to hear more narcissistic statements from u in the name of justifying what u just said.

U r blatantly saying vallu kuda discrimination face chesaru, but they are extremely confident and doing so good, why is it so difficult for u ani. This  argument is downright contextually blind. Victim play endi? Unna maata cheppina.  Every single person I know from my region used to fear speaking out or stand up for themselves. It's not just language mockery but many other social elements that played a role for the inferiority. For the last time, you cannot justify discrimination by saying it happens elsewhere and someone else came over it, u shud too. That's just unempathetic.   Don't get me started on level playing field. These regions were never identical to have a level playing field. You cannot say they all had similar access to resources citing some sample data which does not even represent a part of what reality used to be.

That psycho-analysis is based on your inputs about your inferiority complex and your thoughts about your dressing and etc.  You were saying that everyone from the linguistic group looked down upon you. Infact, that linguistic group used Hyd dialect in the movies (it was used due to story and other reasons just like how Tugo dialect has been used) and probably it may have been mocked. But Hyd guys never play the victim card as you guys do (some people outside the Hyd - not all). All my Engg close friends are from TG and I never saw them feeling this way. They had political inclination towards seperate state at later point of time. That's different issue. Empathy is not for cry-babies. Some people need bogeyman to coverup their inferiority comples/low self-esteem.

I came to know in my Engineering. Very first day, I got down from the town bus and was entering the college, right under college name arc, a group of 6 people caught me, they started walking with me with theirs arms on my shoulders, 3 on each side.

As usual asked my details, Sir anali etc. Neither my name nor my dad's name has the caste link. So they couldn't resist. with in 2 min, one guy asked full name choppy ani, I said that is my full name. Then he asked which caste, I told him and then used some slur with a boothu and said ee roju time ledu, repu dorukutav gaa chepta naa k*d*ka ani vellipoyaru.

I had tough time during ragging and also after that till 3rd yr of b.tech

I experienced when I was way too young probably 2nd or 3rd grade coz most of our neighbors are called with their caste names but no caste was ever degraded or talked cheap...I am born in hyderabad and raised there until I moved to the US, but I experienced real casteism in the US with fellow gultis in my university though....Telugu Annoyed GIF - Telugu Annoyed Irritated GIFs

Same here. Till my 12th, even my teachers used to refer some of their students by their caste. But in no way they ill treated or gave preference to any student. All were treated equally. Only after I joined Engineering, I realized how political it is.

17 yrs, I was taught and I strongly believed, sarva manava samanathvam, Sab ka malik ek, bhaaratheeyulantha naa sahodarlu, ram robert rahim , na thaati matta...Telugu Annoyed GIF - Telugu Annoyed Irritated GIFs

I love narcissists.  They have this great talent of developing everything to an amazing level of self-serving rationalizations.

My engineering started in 99. I studied in govt eng college, campus. My college has multiple caste groups, it was mostly dominated by Reddys, Chows and Converted batch.

Reddys were large in number and also had support from management. But there were both good and bad apples in reddy's. Some of them were quite liberal (in fact communist level liberals), some were genuinely good, some of course were rotten with caste feelings.

But Chows were worst of the lot. It's suprising to see every single one of them had caste feeling to the deepest of their core. They always felt they are superior and talked, played only with their group, select only their caste people in sports teams, intentionally targeting girls from other caste. They used to boast how many non-chow girls they had defiled and ruined them. It was the worst feeling, nauseating, disgusting for me.

I hated them so much that it blurs my judgement even today, inspite of knowing the fact that they are all not same.

I lost 1 yr in long term, so nuvvu nenu same age may be. Also, I think, mana kanna aged unary ee group lo chala Mandi.

No, I am not from V'wada, most of the colleges including Siddhartha are dominated by single caste, it's aways that caste vs rest because they are all private colleges and depending on the management, that caste dominates.

But govt colleges are not like that, akkada multiple caste groups fight chesty, we used form alliances also tenor.gif..I studied in a govt college from Rayalaseema..

+1000%

chows were multiple steps ahead in castism in college... of course other groups caught up their level by final year.

but it was apparent that school level lo kuda chows had caste hatred.
