Basically it is the mother of all scams in Pakistan , land grabbing , ponzi scheme , double registrations , un scientific planning, etc .

gaadidhi guddule. It may be a scam - i am sure some "regulations" (because in india and pakistan and other turd world countries everyone is soooo strict about regulations) were violated. Infact it is a scam. But the difference is they can build it and 10 lac karachi people will enjoy organized, clean living but you cannot build it because you lack that civilization and live in what most of the world considers a disorderely and slummy living conditions where even 100 meters of road is not perfectly straight.

He's free to be entitled to his opinion , but he just fails to recognise that Pakistan government were not even involved in this project .

Hopefully they should take inspiration malik Riaz Hussain and make amaravathi into similar private entity and let's see where it goes

This is NOT about govt initiated cities - there are plenty of examples where that succeded phenomenolly. This is about building a city - just building it.

Whenever it rains 5-10 cm in there

yeha  - have you seen how NYC got flooded recently. It will be flooded 2 days in a year but 363 days they enjoy planned living, broad streets, manicured lawns. At 46,000 acres its about twice the size of viajaywada - no slums, no trash.

You maybe right. I am not saying we should go there. I am holding a mirror to india and how civilizationally india cant build $hit and does not respect those who build.

But i dont agree its only for elites - there cant be 10 lac elites in karachi.

dude, 46000 acres is like around 200 sqkm. That's about 5000 people/sqkm. Which is medium density like most big north american cities.

so how do these people travel to work or elsewhere? Is there a public transport system or is everyone bussed in and out via a company provided bus? I suspect its impossible to live here without a car.

for crap like this, you are dragging Indian civlization. how dumb are you? People who build sh1t like this should be hanged in public. Huge waste of resources and won't generate any economic activity, and instead exist as a pensioners paradise.

Because karachi is the economic engine of Pakistan , more than 54% of taxes in that country are from the city alone .

It's easy to sell housing when the economic base of the city is sound . Also bahria town is completely private , no government expenditure involved

hahaha - malla adhe notitho - dornakonda lo kattachu kadha.

Rey narsi ga @Raven_Rayes - this is not a contest about worlds most beautiful city ra picchal. this is about organized living at a scale of million people for someone who lives in a slummy paris corner.

Parrys is in fact 'organized living' ra. pretty sure more people live in Parrys Corner and its immediate neighbourhoods within 15sqkm than in the township you posted.

And they can take public transport like everyone, not be bussed in by their employers.

That's civilizational stuff. Not Amaravati.

Well the slums are a by-product of wealth gap , can you name a single party in india that is against them?

Your own party goes ape sh*t when any slum that occupies road or canal are moved elsewhere

Neekendhukura avanni. The city itself will provide some opportunities - there is a stadium, a commercial center of many high rises, a university, a golf course. There is a metro route to karachi.

Yes it is civilized to live like that. Not like in parry's corner/

Yea people live - as if they have a choice. Slum infested rat like living condition with urine smell everywhere. Noone would consider that a civilized living.

The simple fact and learning point is this :

To build a brand new spanking city of 46,000 acres needs financial skills, planning skills and most importantly organizational skills. And even more importantly a society which can allow people to build without tearing itself apart in jealousy "who is going to benefit? which caste benefits most? why should i support if manavallu not getting cash" etc.

iam not saying pakistan is a great country or anything. it is a crap country and mirror image of india. But in this case they have done well and are going to enjoy the benefits. 10 lac people living in first world standards is amazing. its half of vizag populatoin and a city built from scratch from them.

You completely forgot that bahria town is a private organisation , government  has no involvement.

Meeru kooda amaravathi ni private organisation ga cheseyandi , no one will object and everyone will pray for your success

This is not about govt iniitated building . As i said it is just building. also without govt help there is just no way someone can acquire 46,000 acres in outskirts of a mega city.
