Exactly - the starting point also matters. How can it not innovative in bringing up a backward economy to ultra modern one in 30 years ? how many decisions they must have taken/how many modifications/how many corrections - are they not innovation? eee narsi gaadu assal life lo okka pani chesado ledho.

Chinese economists should have won Nobel economics prize for the last 30 years

The sheer scale of growth has never happened in human history

Obviously they are catching a lot of growing pains but they have plans figured out for long term

I already said i mentioned them  as efficient. You may have forgotten but just one page away you were bluffing that chinese state owned enterprises as "inefficient".

And also without innovation there is no possibility of china catching up in almost every technology when all of it was denied to them. THere is no magic about innovation.

what technology was 'denied' to them? why are you jumping from one bs to another?

running bullet trains, sending rockets to space means they are efficient in those areas. Not efficient in general in areas they operate state owned enterprises.

how dumb are you? did you stop trying to think after you got into IIT or something?

what is 5G tech, pls tell.

civilian drones hmmm... do you mean on the AI recognition software? what exactly is their advantage in that market beyond mass manufacturing capability?

we can call China an innovator when they become one, then. Not now.

Huawei owns the largest amount of 5G patents

DJI has the best drones on the market

Obviously no where near Americans but they are catching up fast

dude, why would they win nobel prizes, unless they share their knowledge with others, and their economic models are replicable elsewhere?

you confuse techno minded bureaucrats with economists I guess.

what exactly have the chinese economists added to economics in general? this is like giving Anandayya a nobel prize in medicine, because he cured covid in krishnapatnam town with his chutney.

so they are efficient in some areas but inefficient over all ? humptu dumpty sodhi nayala. ofcourse tons of technology are denied to them. America even blocked them acquring a pork processing plant worried they will learn some agri tech. we can see what they are doing to them in chip manufacturing.

No new cutting edge tech is never given to anyone. At the sametime there is nothing mysterious about getting technology or  doing "innovation". what matters is social morality and social organization. You train and respect an african whose father is hunter-gatheres he can design an ultra modern chip in few years.

I still don't understand what 5G is. what exactly are there patents in? just because someone holds patents, doesn't mean they are innovative.

DJI fine. but what is special about it beyond ability to mass manufacture it at quick notice?

is drone even new tech? somewhat like 100yr old tech.. after advent of airplanes. are drones impressive?

yes, that is the general consensus. a simple google search will tell you exactly that.

what are they doing in chip manufacturing, huh?

there's nothing mysterious about innovation. Its just that China isn't innovative, yet.

hahahaha ..."general consesus" ... aka " i really dont know - someone said something".

Rey narsi they make decent quality chips but not at 5 nm or 7 nm level.

if you think drones are innovative... some stupid electric car is innovative.. that battery tech from Tesla is innovative. you have no idea what innovation is.

its a bit sad at the quality of engineers out of IIT.

if you are not an engineer from IIT, its even worse. your lack of critical thinking, inability to string together a compelling argument is very disappointing. May be I should ask for my tax rupees that went into educating a dumbfcuk like you.

don't talk about sh1t you don't even know about, fcukface.

like I said, I base my opinion after listening to all sides. I don't pull arguments out of ass, like you seem to do.

yea "innovation" - definition is something that chinese cannot do. You are funny because rarely i see someone so blank of knowledge but so judgemental about things.

Chinese are innovative in mass manufacturing. Yes. and some design, although a lot of design is imported from Taiwan.

Almost all components they use are imported from Korea, Japan, and chips from Taiwan.

If they were innovative, they would be making chinese version of hi res cameras, photonic components etc. They will, eventually. But they are making very slow progress coz their govt doesn't pay much attention to consumer tech and its components.

just pick up any applied science journal. laser tech, nanotech advances are mostly credited to labs in US, Europe and Japan. I haven't seen a single Chinese progress in the area. They have made a lot of progress in applying proven tech like gene editing etc. The chinese doc naively declared that he edited genes of a fetus of a pregnant woman who's husband was afflicted with AIDS. He was promptly thrown in jail for 3yrs after that. That is not innovation. That's just application of innovation.

On the other hand, they do build impressive bullet train networks, and bought the first ones from Alstom and such. Now their state owned rail manufacturer make their own trains. Well, India can make these trains too. They need exposure too like Chinese ones got with Alstom.

it doesn't count for innovation.

hahaha....yes some real gems like "chinese soe are efficient with bullet trains/bridges/roads/space engines/space craft/space stations but overall they are inefficient"
