Top Officers Already Pampering Cong In T'gana?

Top Officers Already Pampering Cong In T'gana?

It appears some of the top bureaucrats and IPS officers have sensed the defeat for ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the upcoming assembly elections to be held in December. And they got it confirmed from the field level reports they have obtained.

A couple of days ago, some senior IAS and IPS officers had a meeting with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and given him some suggestions and planning for the ensuing elections.

Some of the names of these officers include special chief secretary B R Meena, senior IAS officer Shiva Kumar and IPS officers Krishna Prasad and Stephen Ravindra, who are said to be in regular touch with the Congress leaders.

Very recently, another senior bureaucrat Akunuri Murali attended a meeting convened by Telangana Joint Action Committee to release a book pointing out the irregularities in the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project.

Apparently, these officers are peeved at the way KCR was suppressing upright officers and promoting only those who were toeing his line.

A retired IAS officer, who has now been playing an advisory role for the chief minister, is said to be the reason for the revolt from several senior bureaucrats and cops.

Some of these IAS and IPS officers also wrote a letter to chief secretary S K Joshi expressing their discontent over the injustice meted out to them in promotions and postings.

What is worse, these officers are upset with the inaccessibility of the chief minister, who had never given them appointment to listen to their grievances.

“Only a section of upper caste bureaucrats are ruling the roost in the CMO and this has resulted in unhealthy trend in bureaucracy,” an official said.

Balka Suman TRS Candidature Quells Dissidence In Chennur, Finally

TELANGANA POLITICS

In the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's announcement of the list of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) contestants for the upcoming elections on September 6, two sitting MLAs Babu Mohan (Andole) and Nallala Odelu (Chennur) were denied party tickets. There were murmurs of dissent in some pockets.

After days of hectic parleying and protests over the denial of ticket to him, Nallala Odelu's demand for reconsideration subsided after he met KCR while four-time MLA Babu Mohan recently switched loyalties to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Yet, the deadlock over Balka Suman's candidacy from Chennur did not appear to have been solved especially after a TRS worker Odelu's supporter, Gattaiah, attempted suicide on September 12 by immolating himself on the occasion of the Peddapalli MP's launch of election campaign in the constituency.

Prior to the incident, Odelu announced his word to KCR that he would support Balka Suman in the campaign and that he would try and contribute to TRS's win in the constituency. Later, on September 19, Gattaiah lost his life while receiving treatment in a Hyderabad hospital. Reports suggested that Gattaiah tried to put Balka Suman on fire. However, neither TRS Chief KCR nor Balka Suman responded on the death.

With the election date fast approaching, it appears that Balka Suman has a new face from within the TRS to fight in the upcoming elections. According to reports, former minister and TRS leader G Vinod, who also happens to be a sibling of Telangana government advisor G Vivekanand, had been upset he had not got the Chennur ticket. Vinod, who has strong support within the constituency, stood second to Odelu in the 2009 and the 2014 Assembly elections. In 2016, the two brothers joined the TRS from Congress. With the current scenario in the constituency, Vinod is contemplating his return to the Congress, it is widely believed. According to Vinod's associates, the brothers would together return to the Congress.

Reserved for Scheduled Castes, Chennur has always been a Congress stronghold in the past. Known to have launched non-local contestants on several occasions, the constituency has, however, been favourable to the TRS in elections since 2009. The TRS candidate for the upcoming elections is in full flow with his campaign already. Will Congress announce Vinod as its contestant? That is a real mystery for now.

There are shortcomings and misuse in every scheme for that reason you cannot stop the greater good as the farmer situation in telangana was bleak and scary. Hence something has to be done without  wasting time in modalities, going forward things will improve as you have highlighted like curtailing wastage etc

my father nearly all lost all his retirement savings after he stepped into farming some 6-7 years ago  and if it that critical for him I can understand how it is for small scale farmers, agriculture is the only major source of livelihood in the country and it is a hightime if they are not taken care of otherwise the country will to dogs.   The farm produce prices have been artificially kept low by all successive governments and not inline with current inflation levels just to keep feeding the country otherwise there will be hunger deaths and eveything has to be imported from china or some country at 3 times the current cost..in the last 2 decades a pair of hawai chappal have gone from costing Rs 40 to Rs 600 and at the sametkme a KG rice went from Rs 20 to Rs 40. Free electricity or raidu bandu are just a shot in the arm for the farmers but still lacking in many aspects like minimum support price, farm machinization etc.
