It demotivated NRI andhra investors, lost the political syndergies between coasts/seaports and land based hyd developments. Assal ekkado undalisindhi hyd if it continued the tempo it had since 2004.

But one thing though development may not always work for locals. Any hyd development the lion share ebenefits go to delhi which will spend on cowbelt.

In a way its good hyd remains the way it is.

Actually the opposite , Hyderabad used to have much better infra than Chennai from a long time , it had india a first thermal power plant in 1920 itself but Chennai has better education / employment opportunities .

Outer ring road and Shamshabad were the two things that made Hyderabad stood out from Chennai .   

Chennai being ruled by populist parties cannot undertake implement  massive infrastructure projects . 

Also Chennai is the most conservative big city in india , not really welcoming of outsiders

Did Hyd ever have tran infracture? When did Hyd have local trains? Did you know the total of Cheannai roads lengths vs Hyd roads lenghts? Even the number of lanes and the traiffic management.

Passenger terminals la they hardly make any money. Freight and MRO, land use etc is the part where they expect to generate decent revenues.

investors will invest based on return/security not on politics.  Hyderabad had a golden run in real estate from 2014 to 2018 which is in stark contrast to what you people are saying . 

Thing about delhi is true for all major cities , it is a parasite that doesn't differentiate

Hyd never really needed tram. 
 

FYI, Hyd lanti terrain la evadu kuda tram built cheyaru...or least back then aithe cheyaledu.
