they are just like Japan, but without any mask of tradition, to hide their faults behind.

its actually a pleasure to do business with chinese. they are not as manipulative as the westerners, but decades of nationalist propaganda means that they will put their country before everything else even while doing business. you can't expect ethics from them. how do you know they are nationalists ? this particular account focuses only on travel. The toxic prejudices you have come out so well.

You are more likely to observe racism against indians in pro-west chinese in singapore,taiwan and hong kong. In taiwan they use open racist slurs against indians on live tv something the socialist china will just not allow. These singapore,taiwan, hk chinese see themselves as second after whites like you see yourself as an indian next to white and spew hate on chinese.

yes, singapore, taiwan, hong kong all are openly racist against Indians. Its also the Chinese who are racist in those countries. Chinese ethnic people.

Chinese in china are merely curious with Indians.. that's only because there are hardly Indians in China, except some Indians who travel often to trade in shenzhen. and some who work in multinational finance firms in Shanghai.

it'll change when more Indians move to China.

lol. who said Singapore is pro western? wait and see where Singapore turns when China political and economic capital rises.. atm singapore is neutral, and takes decisions based on its interests.

as for HK, anti chinese is hardly 15% of the population, and half of them are pro HK racists, who are against both the US and China. Don't be fooled by the massive crowd in anti china protests, most people who turn out are fighting for better housing policy from HK govt than anything else. a referendum in HK will clearly show overwhelming support to China, not the US.

It's not about nationalism. Cultural history of China Taiwan Korea Japan is always interlinked and quite complicated.  The main problem is how they look at society, current gen chinese are like locusts who are rich, they don't have school of thought and don't encourage one either. They are ok even if the country is ruled with martial law

Chinese were super internationalist till after mao passed way. Infact they split with soviet because they found them reactionary. After mao  and collapse of soviet they went through a phase of self doubt and invited capitalism and a dash of nationalism.  But now they are correcting it as well. Socialism puts a natural block on unbridled nationalism.

Right now they are in a sieze with hundreds of us based surrounding them, sanctions after sanctions, horrible media against them. So they need some nationalism to protect themselves.

Every chinese leader goes through a rigrorous education in marxist-lenist thought. And you think they teach nationalism?

they look at society outside the constraints of tradition that Japanese have forced themselves into. Japan is a feudal society with modern tech.

that's why I find Chinese better than the Japanese who have a 1000 rules for every thing. Chinese cultural revolution actually got rid of feudalism, and has created a neoliberal class just like the US.

in fact China resembles the US more than any other nation in this part of the world. India could lay claim to it too, if it were not for the fact that millions are starving in India.

what sanctions against China? US literally gave them free trade deals that they didn't even offer India. Its only now that the US is waking up to having created a monster in Asia, and are clumsily banning huawei, tongwei..

India has been unable to get an FTA with the US until now, forget special access like the China has.
